Martin Scorsese Masterclass in Cannes

Bottom in de Road

Set in rural and urban Trinidad, from Port-of-Spain to Princes Town, on beaches and boats, on streets and in markets, Bottom in De Road is truly a Caribbean film because it explodes with Caribbean scenery and in highlighting Carnival it is situated firmly within Trinidad’s ‘wining culture’, making use of Caribbean rhythms, scenery, language and people.
This documentary film is based firmly on the Afro-Caribbean man’s cultural fascination with the female bottom – a fascination that has given rise to several calypsos, soca and reggae tunes used throughout the documentary.

Produced by LRS Productions Ltd.
