Backseat Film Festival # 5 Starts Tomorrow

The fifth edition of the Rock N’ Roll Film Fest is back in Philly tomorrow, Thursday, March 29th through Sunday, April 1st at the Backseat Theater (941 N. Front Street, Btwn Spring Garden and Girard). Tickets are $5 for one film program or $30 for an all access laminate for access to all 12 film programs (14 Features, All Philly Premieres!). All after parties are FREE with ticket stub or laminates, and as always, all tickets include a free shot and beer! Many of the feature film directors will be in attendance to present their screenings and will host a Q & A session afterwards, as outlined in the schedule below.

The BFF 07 Opening Ceremonies (Presented by Sailor Jerry) will be a three ring circus filled with Burlesque, Sideshow and Suspension acts, Stand-up comedy and as always the Annual Destruction of the rejected submissions. How will the films be destroyed this year? The only way to find out is by coming to the festival!

Each BFF screening block will feature a number of shorts and music videos to equal over 35 hours of film programming throughout the weekend! We've got twisted animations, hilarious sketch comedy, stimulating documentaries, and all kinds of demented programming you won't find at your average film festival! We’ve expanded the programming even further with an additional double feature on Saturday Morning at Noon. The additional film, Flogging Margaret is a romantic comedy made in Philly by director Oliver Assiran and many of the cast and crew will be in attendance! Also, we’ll be screening the newest cuts of Saving CBGB’s, Stupid Teenagers Must Die! & LovecraCked!
