Sandy Mandelberger, a dear colleague passed away.
Dear Sandy thank you for beeing with us, for so many years. It has been great to know you and fun too. We loved your dedication and professonalism. We already miss you dearly. The Indie community is sad. Rest in Peace. Bruno Chatelin - Managing Editor He battled cancer for nine years and asked that any donations be made to the Film Society of Lincoln Center. A colleague and a friend
That's such sad and shocking news.
Sandy's enthusiasm, Sandy's passion, Sandy's expertise, Sandy's good-natured will be dearly missed.
I remember when I first met him at FilmFestivals.com back in the day. We were a bunch of "kids" eager to revolutionize film festivals and the budding internet world -- and he was someone I looked up to.
He was a good man, and that's not that common in our industry.
RIP Sandy.
