29th Hamburg Short Film Festival: Call for Entries

Call for entries

Wherever you are in the world, and whether you are reading this at your film academy, in your basement, secret laboratory or elsewhere: We want you to film! We, the 29th Hamburg International Short Film Festival and our competitions (international, no budget, national)! Only you can make Hamburg watch in awe and rub its eyes in disbelief from 4 June to 10 June 2013.

And for the next generation of short film fans: From 2 June to 9 June 2013 the 15th Mo&Friese Children Short Film Festival is presenting a selection of shortfilms for children aged 4 to 14.

The start date for entries is 15 October, and you can send us your films via mail or reelport. You can find the online form for entries and all necessary information at www.shortfilm.com or www.reelport.com. We are looking forward to your films!

Deadline: 15 Febuary 2013

Three-Minute-Quickie Competition – Topic: Breakthrough

Call for Quickies

Make 2013 Your Breakthrough Year!

We don’t mind if you’re supposed to have your breakthrough in showbiz or if you’re digging a tunnel since ten years and the breakthrough is just a second away. Maybe you have broken your enemies defensive line or the borders of knowledge. We want to participate. Or let’s put it like Freddie Mercury: „I have to make this final breakthrough. Now!“ And we need yours. Now.

So, grab your camera, shoot and show us your favourite little breakthrough-movie. We are looking forward to seeing and maybe screening it!

The only important thing is: Your breakthrough mustn’t be longer than three minutes (max. 3:59 min) and it needs to be submitted until April 1st 2013.

And by the way the best breakthrough wins the € 1.000 audience award.

 Three-minute-quickie deadline: 1 April 2012

You can submit your film online now: www.shortfilm.com

Organizer: KurzFilmAgentur Hamburg e.V., Friedensallee 7, D-22765 Hamburg
