Filmmakers who would like to get their short films qualified for the 2018 Academy Awards are urged to enter this year's MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival, which will not only screen to over 100,000 film buffs in over 250 cinemas across 6 continents, but will do a full week's run in one cinema in the county of Los Angeles. This theatre booking means every film selected as a finalist in the 2017 MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival is eligible to enter the Oscar Competition for 2018. 
MANHATTAN SHORT is now in compliance with the rules governing the Oscar Awards set forth by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (AMPAS)
