DOK.fest München takes the latest outstanding documentary film to the big screen – at the festival in May and all around the year.

The three main competitions DOK.international, DOK.horizonte and DOK.deutsch gather current highlights of the socially relevant and artistically valuable documentary film. The retrospective is devoted to outstanding international documentary filmmakers. In the section DOK.guest, filmmakers from our guest region present their country from their own perspective, while the topic section focuses on new tendencies of documentary filmmaking. Every year, the Student Award presents a selection of the best works from German-speaking film schools.
