BuSho (Budapest Short) was established in the autumn of 2004 by a group of young Hungarian filmmakers and the first event successfully ran its course the following year. The festival became an international breakthrough in an exceptionally short period of time. We had plenty of festival screenings, selections of film academys, conferences, exhibitions, film-, and all-art workshops in the program. Our main target group is the generation of developing young filmmakers but we are very delighted at every entry. This film celebration takes place in Budapest in the late summer of 2014.
You can enter in three categories: fiction, animation and experimental.
Duration: maximum 30 minutes!
Submitted films should have been produced after the 1st of January 2012!
ONLINE ENTRY OPENING: 1st December 2013
DEADLINE: 30th April 2014.

The cultural association Parma OperArt promotes for 2012 the first edition of the Busseto Music Film Festival, an international contest aiming at giving a prize to the best soundtrack and therefore to the best composer of music for the cinema.
The first prize will be the Cigno d’oro (Golden swan). This will be followed by the Silver Swan to the best film, Honourable Mention to the best Direction, Photography, interpreter and finally the best music and sound design. The initiative aims not only at drawing the
public’s attention to good and recent film productions but also at emphasizing
the value of music writing for the cinema as an essential element for poetics
and for the success of the film itself. The contest will also be an occasion
for people in the film industry and producers to present their work to a wide
public and to an international jury.
Moreover, Parma OperArt has the possibility to sell the film to a national television channel, so the Festival represents a great showcase and a further chance.
Those who are interested can present their film until 30th June 2012. Films and
videos from all nations, subjects and duration – not less than 25 minutes – can
take part in the contest, as long as they have not been produced before 2010.
Documentaries, opera films and/or films about the opera, biographies, animation
films are all admitted.

BZN International Film Festival is dedicated to understanding diverse points of view and is in the vanguard in restoring media literacy among our youth. The BZN vision is to highlight movies that make a positive impact on audiences—stories that showcase the best of the human spirit while inviting a call to action. We champion films that educate and enrich while they entertain: documentaries, indies, comedies, features and shorts that make our cut must be intelligent and thought-provoking, inspire curiosity, and encourage community and global awareness. Above all, they should stimulate conversation—a lost art we’re determined to help restore.
The inaugural BZN International Film Festival will run June 7-10, 2018, and spotlights women filmmakers, directors, actors and producers who are ready to take the helm, pioneering projects to change current statistics and elevate women’s visions and voices. We are seeking submissions that define strong women who respect themselves and know their worth. These characters - fictional and real - may choose to be intrepid adventurers as well as strong partners, mothers, friends and businesswomen and along the way they inspire, energize and embolden people of all ages regardless of their sex or ethnicity.
