CINE Golden Eagle Competition

Launched in 1957 with the mission of selecting American films for international film festivals, the semi-annual CINE Golden Eagle Competion honors the best in film, television and digital media. From its earliest days, CINE utilized (and still utilizes) a jury system to choose the best among the many films submitted, honoring them with the CINE Golden Eagle Award; the peer recognition of excellence that a prestigious CINE Golden Eagle confers still opens doors.  In the more than half century since its first competition, CINE alumni whose films have made the world laugh, cry, think, argue and change, include Ken Burns, Mel Brooks, Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, Spike Lee, Stanley Nelson, Mira Nair, Robert Zemeckis, Jim Henson, Pixar Animation Studios, Quincy Jones and Mike Nichols - and that's just a partial list.

Some things stand the test of time, and CINE's knack for picking winners is one of them. The opportunity for emerging filmmakers to join this prestigious group continues. Recently, several of the winning films in our student division have gone on to win gold or silver medals at the Student Academy Awards, have shown their films at major festivals, and are working in the industry at places such as Walt Disney Animation Studios.

The competition has kept pace with the industry, with new divisions and categories to provide opportunities for a variety of media producers. The CINE Golden Eagle Competition includes divisions for student and independent filmmakers in all genres; TV documentaries, fiction, reality and news; advertising; children's programming; industrials; and digital programming.

Do you think your production has what it takes to win a CINE Golden Eagle Award? Show us what you've got!

Cine Junior

#
Festival consacré au jeune public pour leur faire découvrir des films de qualité venus d`horizons différents.

Ciné Junior International Film Festival

Our Festival rolls out in 18 movie theatres within the parisian district and more than 25000 viewers come along each year. The aim is to help the participating films to be released in France: the "Grand Prix Ciné Junior" consists of an aid of 8000 euros given to the french distributor who will release the film. We work hard to make the public understand  and appreciate films by explaining how the film was created, analysing how the image work, inviting films critics to talk about the film ; we also offer workshops including editing and created short  animated films.

Cine Las Americas International Film Festival

The Cine Las Americas International Film Festival, now in its tenth year, showcases contemporary films from North, Central, South America and the Caribbean. Works made by or about Latinos and indigenous groups of the Americas are eligible to participate.

Cine Migratorio

Cine Migratorio is a migration-themed film festival that will take place May 10-13, 2012 in Santander, Spain. The Festival aims to present a program of artistically accomplished, thematically challenging and stimulating films about migration to students, migrants, Santander residents, and anyone who wishes to join us for this weekend-long event. We hope these films will incite reflection and discussion about migration, but also about the power of film to capture mobility in a modern age. We welcome all film genres (feature, short, documentary, experimental, animation) and do not endorse any one political stance on migration issues. Cine Migratorio endeavors to screen films that explore a wide range of migration-related themes and issues, from the way in which economic and social forces that drive migration cross as many borders as migrants themselves, to personal migration stories, to films less directly concerned with migration but still resonant with its effects and contexts. In addition to screenings, Cine Migratorio will feature lectures, workshops, live music, and other events. Leading up to the festival, Cine Migratorio will host an array of programs in local high schools and local centers. Cine Migratorio will take place May 10-13th in Santander, Spain, in the Paraninfo at the Las Llamas campus of the Universidad Internacional Menendez Pelayo (UIMP).
