film and ads.
I always considered Indian Jones a part of the Fantasy/adventure group. Sf and horror qualify here due to the Crystal Skull aspect. I want to see it before I can tell if it is as good as trailer leads me to believe.
Oh yes, let's not have advertisements for this festival like last year ads. They actually kept away many serious science ficton/horror fans (myself and my club members) and professionals in the field who would have added greatly to the cache of the festival.
In Rhode island, Massachusetts, Conn. and New hampshire reside widely recognized, award winning (Hugos and otherwise), world known Writers and Atists in the Sf, Fantasy and Horror field.
It is widely known that serious fans in this field do not associate with crazies, wackos and weirdos (although many are found at varius conventions) and do not go where we are not welcome.
The ads were both insulting and demeaning to both professionals and serious fans in this field.
By the way, my group loves movies and has its own movie nights each month. We also make it a point to go to new movies within two weeks of release. Also has this Festival heard of the Saturn Awards in Los Angles? Makes we wonder.
We also do a state interconnect show (cox 13) at 9:00 PM know as Scifi Journal.
