In April 2012 Carmarthen Bay Film Festival was founded by Kelvin Guy.
The festival was held for the first time in Llanelli,Carmarthenshire, the home town of Wales' very first Hollywood film Gareth Hughes. This is what one of the many film makers that attend our first festival had to say!
"I was utterly thrilled to be involved with Carmarthen Bay's first ever film festival. It was obvious from the whole set-up that the organisers had worked hard to bring not only experienced and new filmmakers together, but also the whole community. I believe that this festival has been a breath of fresh air for We
st Wales and a great opportunity for Welsh filmmakers to stand on the same platform as the rest of the UK's talent in showcasing their work. I sincerely hope that this festival will grow and grow to highlight national as well as international talent right on our doorstep here in Wales. Thank you so much for your support with both my short films!"

Imagine a festival that would give film students and recent graduates the chance to showcase their short films. And imagine if this festival was open to students from all over the world to submit their films, regardless of language or genre.Well, some very innovative and creative people in Dublin not only imagined it, they did it. And thanks to their efforts, 40 young film makers are having their work shown on the big screen this weekend in Dublin at the inaugural Freshly Squeezed International ...

Located in Southern
California, Fallbrook and its surrounding communities is a beehive of creative
energies: artists, sculptors, writers, actors, musicians, dancers, designers,
and filmmakers. In 2006, the non-profit Fallbrook Film Factory was formed to
foster filmmaking activities similar to community theatre, and out of that the Fallbrook
International Film Festival evolved, now entering its fifth season. Fallbrook
was also the family home to one of Hollywood’s all-time filmmaking legends
Frank Capra during the height of his filmmaking career. To that aim, we have
been most fortunate to gain the support of the Capra family, allowing us to
host a very special award in his name. And this year, due to the strong support
from the Hollywood stunt community, we are adding Action Films as an award category
and workshops with top stunt directors, reveling this hidden art of filmmaking.
