CRAZY HORSE SESSION – THE 48H ANIMATION JAM

Animating a film in front of an audience? A frightening thought for most animation artists. All the more challenging is the task of creating a short film within 48 hours. International teams compete with each other in the 48h Animation Jam, live at the festival.

The Live Animation Competition Crazy Horse Session – 48 H Animation Jam addresses animation students from international film and art schools as well as independent animators and animation producers aged 30 years or younger. Five teams, each with two members, must develop an animated film live and within 48 hours. More information, the application form and regulations are available at http://www.itfs.de/en/home/competitions/48h-animation-jam/.

Together with the fmx -Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Digital Media, the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film is developing into the biggest and most important meeting in the world of animated film. Founded in 1982, the Festival of Animated Film has always promoted artistic animated films, young talented artists and the entire animated film sector. The accompanying events and programmes range from presentations by schools and studios, showcases of famous animation artists and the popular “Best Of Animation” series, right up to screenplay writer workshops with well-known animated film professionals.
At the festival’s open air programme on the Schlossplatz in Stuttgart, the people of Stuttgart celebrate the art of animated film together with guests from all over the world.
