REMINDER: CALL FOR ENTRIES - ITFS 2013

20th Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart (April 23-28, 2013)

Submission Deadline: December 01, 2012


Online, by letter, by email – each day we receive many many interesting film entries from all over the world. At this point we would like to express our thanks to all those who already have submitted their works for pre-selection to the 20th Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film.

And we would like to remind all those who have not yet sent in their films that the entry deadline is approaching. Films for the following competitions must be submitted by December 01, 2012 (date of receipt).

•    International Competition (Short film competition)
•    AniMovie (Feature-length film competition)
•    Young Animation (Student film competition)
•    Tricks for Kids - shorts and series (Competition for short films and TV series for children)
•    Cartoons for Teens (Competition for animated shorts, series, animes, machinimas and cut scenes from computer games)


The unique combination of the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film, the Animation Production Day and the FMX (Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Transmedia) has developed the event into one of the most important platforms of the animation industry worldwide. The various competition programmes are endowed with prize money of more than 65.000 € in total. Filmmakers and/or producers of the selected films will be invited.

Together with the fmx -Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Digital Media, the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film is developing into the biggest and most important meeting in the world of animated film. Founded in 1982, the Festival of Animated Film has always promoted artistic animated films, young talented artists and the entire animated film sector. The accompanying events and programmes range from presentations by schools and studios, showcases of famous animation artists and the popular “Best Of Animation” series, right up to screenplay writer workshops with well-known animated film professionals.
At the festival’s open air programme on the Schlossplatz in Stuttgart, the people of Stuttgart celebrate the art of animated film together with guests from all over the world.
